• Shift Duration: 10-hour shifts
• Shifts Per Week: 4 shifts per week
• Hours Per Week: 40
• Weekend Requirement: 2 weekends per month, 12-hour call coverage
• On-Call Requirement: One night call per week
• Floating: Floating within surgical services required
• Start Date: 09/14/2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Location: Santa Fe, NM 87505
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,050 - $2,150

Job Requirements

• Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license
• Current AHA BLS certification
• Current AHA ACLS certification
• Current AHA PALS certification
• At least 1 year of recent Registered Nurse experience required
• PACU, perioperative, or surgical services experience strongly preferred
• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and patient education abilities
• Comfort working in a collaborative surgical care environment

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate post-anesthesia care to patients across the lifespan
• Complete initial assessments and establish patient priorities based on age, symptoms, and psychosocial needs
• Reassess patients regularly and identify trends requiring intervention
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care within established nursing standards
• Make informed nursing decisions and adjust care plans based on patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families and support discharge planning
• Deliver timely interventions and document care accurately and thoroughly
• Perform point-of-care testing and follow all unit standards and safety practices
• Support surgical services as needed, including floating within the department
• Maintain a professional, respectful approach with patients, families, physicians, and team members
