Job Details

- Employment Type: Travel Nursing
- Schedule: Day shift, 8:00 AM - 6:30 PM
- Shift Duration: 10-hour shifts
- Shifts Per Week: 4 shifts per week
- Hours Per Week: 40
- Weekend Requirement: 2 weekends per month, 12-hour call coverage
- On-Call Requirement: One night call per week
- Floating: Floating within surgical services required
- Start Date: 09/14/2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Location: Santa Fe, NM 87505
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,050 - $2,150
Job Requirements
- Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license
- Current AHA BLS certification
- Current AHA ACLS certification
- Current AHA PALS certification
- At least 1 year of recent Registered Nurse experience required
- PACU, perioperative, or surgical services experience strongly preferred
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
- Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and patient education abilities
- Comfort working in a collaborative surgical care environment
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate post-anesthesia care to patients across the lifespan
- Complete initial assessments and establish patient priorities based on age, symptoms, and psychosocial needs
- Reassess patients regularly and identify trends requiring intervention
- Develop and implement individualized plans of care within established nursing standards
- Make informed nursing decisions and adjust care plans based on patient outcomes
- Educate patients and families and support discharge planning
- Deliver timely interventions and document care accurately and thoroughly
- Perform point-of-care testing and follow all unit standards and safety practices
- Support surgical services as needed, including floating within the department
- Maintain a professional, respectful approach with patients, families, physicians, and team members
