- Setting: Adult Med/Surg Telemetry / Orthopedic Spine Care
- Location: Columbia, SC 29203
- Start Date: 09/21/2026
- Duration: 13-week travel nursing assignment
- Shift Duration: 12-hour night shifts
- Hours Per Week: 36
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,660 - $1,750
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend; 6 weekend shifts per contract
- Charting System: Epic EMR
- Orientation: 12-16 hours
Job Requirements
- Active South Carolina RN license or compact/multistate RN license required
- Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience required
- At least 1 year of Epic EMR experience required
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Orthopedic nursing experience strongly preferred
- Experience working with patient ratios of 1:5-6 preferred
- Ability to work night shifts and every other weekend
- Flexibility to float to other qualified units or campuses as needed
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate care to adult med/surg and telemetry patients
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and recognize changes in patient condition promptly
- Support orthopedic spine patients through post-operative recovery, pain management, and mobility goals
- Administer medications, treatments, and nursing interventions according to the plan of care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and rapid response support
- Assist with specialty procedures such as post-cath care, lumbar punctures, post-surgical care, and heparin drips
- Document thoroughly and accurately in Epic while maintaining excellent patient-centered care
