• Shift: 12-hour nights
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend; 6 weekend shifts per contract
• Orientation: 16 hours
• Charting System: Epic experience required
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,660 - $1,750

RN Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care RN experience in a relevant setting
• Orthopedic nursing experience required
• Active South Carolina RN license or compact/multistate RN license required; pending license not accepted
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• At least 1 year of Epic EMR experience required
• Ability to safely care for patients with ratios of 1:5-6
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Comfort with night shift, weekend rotation, and floating to qualified units/campuses as needed
• Must be willing to complete pre-start testing and required modules in a timely manner

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate med-surg and telemetry nursing care for adult patients
• Support post-operative orthopedic spine patients following procedures such as laminectomies, spinal fusions, and discectomies
• Monitor and manage patients with conditions including cardiac disease, TIAs, diabetes, hypertension, COPD, chest pain, DVT, and PE
• Administer and monitor care for special procedures including bedside lumbar punctures, post-cath recovery, post-surgical care, post-renal biopsy care, CT angio, and heparin drips
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy, respiratory therapy, IV support, pharmacy, and rapid response resources
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in Epic
• Promote mobility, pain management, and recovery-focused care for orthopedic patients
• Float to other qualified areas or campuses when needed based on patient care demands
