• Position: Travel Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (Med/Surg RN)
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing
• Location: Newport, Oregon
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights
• Schedule: Rotating weekends
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,950 - $2,060
• Start Date: 9/1/2026

Job Requirements

• Current, unencumbered Oregon RN license required prior to submission
• Minimum of 1 year of recent medical-surgical nursing experience required
• Active Healthcare Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• NIHSS certification required
• Ability to work night shift travel nursing assignments and rotate weekends
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and adaptability in a busy acute care hospital environment

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate nursing care to adult Med/Surg patients with a variety of acute and post-operative needs
• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions, responding promptly to changes in status
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established nursing standards and hospital protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and support staff to deliver safe, effective patient care
• Support patient and family education throughout the care experience
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold high standards of quality and patient safety
