Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or a compact state
• Current BLS certification through AHA
• Current ACLS certification through AHA
• Current PALS certification through AHA
• Current TNCC certification
• At least 1 year of emergency department nursing experience or related acute care experience preferred
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity clinical setting
• Successful completion of orientation and competency validation requirements

Responsibilities

• Provide Emergency Room nursing care using the full nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
• Deliver safe, timely care to adult and pediatric patients with emergency and critical conditions
• Support care for patients presenting with stroke, STEMI, trauma, and resuscitation needs
• Administer medications and treatments according to protocol and monitor patient response
• Document patient history, symptoms, care provided, and medication administration accurately in the electronic medical record
• Educate patients, family members, and caregivers on treatment plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up care
• Work collaboratively with physicians, charge nurses, and the interdisciplinary care team in a dynamic emergency department environment
• Demonstrate strong clinical judgment, delegation skills, and adaptability in changing situations
