• Location: Henrico, VA, near Richmond, Virginia
• Assignment Type: Travel Nursing Job
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: 9/14/2026
• Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Schedule: Every other weekend; overtime available
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800 - $1,890
• Floating: May float to telemetry and med surg
• EMR: Meditech
• Dress Code: Navy scrubs

Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent registered nurse experience required
• Progressive care, telemetry, or cardiac stepdown nursing experience preferred
• Ability to read and interpret cardiac rhythms and monitors
• Ability to safely administer narcotics
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Strong cardiac knowledge, critical thinking, and clinical judgment
• Team-oriented, compassionate, and adaptable approach to patient care

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care to stepdown and cardiac patients with a patient ratio of 4:1
• Monitor telemetry and interpret rhythms routinely throughout the shift
• Perform and document vital signs and assessments every 4 hours
• Manage cardiac-related conditions including CABG, valve replacement, TAVR, MitraClip, thoracotomy, Afib, CHF, and MI
• Administer and monitor cardiac drips such as Cardizem, amiodarone, heparin, and nitroglycerin
• Care for patients with central lines, PCA, Foley catheters, chest tubes, pacer wires, telemetry, and drains
• Collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary care team to deliver safe, efficient, and compassionate patient care
• Maintain accurate documentation and support smooth patient flow across assigned areas
