• Duration: 13 weeks
• Schedule: 3 12-hour night shifts per week
• Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed hours
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,800 - $1,890
• Shift Hours: 19:00 - 07:00
• Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
• Float Requirement: Birth Response / Stork Nurse support as needed
• Environment: Newly opened NICU with updated equipment and a highly collaborative neonatal care team

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS certification
• NRP certification
• At least 1 year of NICU experience
• Ability to work independently with strong neonatal assessment skills
• Experience with IV insertion in preterm or term infants
• Knowledge of signs and symptoms of declining health in preterm infants
• Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach
• Breastfeeding support experience preferred
• Ability to follow unit guidelines, including readiness for huddle at 6:45

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality NICU nursing care for newborns and critically ill infants
• Care for and stabilize infants requiring ventilator support, CPAP, UVC placement, surfactant administration, and needle decompression
• Perform newborn resuscitation, intubation, umbilical line placement, chest tube insertion, and NG/OG feedings as needed
• Administer TPN, lipids, and other ordered neonatal therapies
• Monitor patient status closely and respond quickly to changes in condition
• Collaborate with neonatologists, respiratory therapy, and the broader interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Support family education with courtesy, respect, and excellent communication
• Maintain accurate documentation using unit systems and follow established safety practices
