RN Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience required
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
• AWHONN training or certification required
• Experience with OB triage, inductions, cesarean support, postpartum care, and newborn care preferred
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced healthcare setting

Labor & Delivery Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality care in Labor & Delivery, postpartum, and newborn care settings
• Monitor labor progression and support patients through active labor, inductions, and deliveries
• Assist with cesarean sections in circulator, first assist, or scrub roles when needed
• Perform OB triage and respond to patient needs with strong clinical judgment and compassion
• Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and the broader maternity care team to ensure seamless patient care
• Support couplet care and newborn assessments as part of a collaborative unit workflow
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow established clinical protocols and safety standards
