Travel Nursing Job Details
- Position: Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN)
- Employment Type: Travel Nursing Job
- Location: Hyannis, Massachusetts 02601
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,700 - $2,840
- Duration: 14 weeks
- Start Date: 09/28/2026
- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Shift: 12-hour rotating night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
- Schedule Notes: Every other weekend and rotating holidays
- Guaranteed Hours: 36
Labor & Delivery RN Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in Massachusetts
- At least 2 years of recent OB or Labor & Delivery nursing experience required
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
- Successful completion of a pharmacology exam
- Current fetal monitoring course documentation required every 2 years
- Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English
- Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide patient-centered Labor & Delivery nursing care using the full nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Monitor patient responses to medications, labor interventions, and clinical treatments
- Document assessments, care plans, progress, and discharge needs accurately and thoroughly in the medical record
- Collaborate with physicians, OB providers, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to support safe, effective maternal-newborn care
- Serve as a charge nurse and clinical resource for team members as needed
- Support staff orientation, teaching, and ongoing patient education
- Promote patient safety, confidentiality, and service excellence at all times
- Maintain competency in nursing informatics and stay current with clinical techniques and healthcare regulations
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and uphold professional nursing standards
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the Labor & Delivery care team
