Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license required and must be in hand
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• ACLS, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Beginner required
• AWHONN Advanced and AWHONN Intermediate preferred
• Strong experience with fetal monitoring, mother-baby care, obstetrical triage, and newborn assessment preferred
• COVID-19 vaccination required with no exemptions
• Flu vaccination required; medical exemptions only

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate maternal and newborn care to laboring patients, postpartum mothers, and infants
• Monitor fetal heart patterns and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Assist with vaginal deliveries, C-sections, and recovery care as needed
• Support newborn care, thermoregulation, feeding support, and parent education
• Administer medications and manage IV therapy, drips, and infusion pumps according to unit standards
• Perform assessments, document patient care accurately, and communicate clearly using SBAR
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to promote positive outcomes for patients and families
