• Shift: 12-hour day shifts
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,360 - $2,480
• Schedule: Open availability required; every other weekend required
• Orientation: Bi-weekly orientation with approximately 36 hours
• Additional Notes: Floating between Labor & Delivery and High-Risk Perinatal areas may be required

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience
• Active North Carolina RN license or Compact RN license in hand
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
• Epic charting experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Strong background in high-risk obstetric care preferred
• Ability to provide a recent supervisory reference
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-volume women’s health environment
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this role

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care for laboring, postpartum, and high-risk obstetric patients
• Monitor fetal status and support safe labor progression using fetal monitoring systems
• Assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and obstetric procedures
• Care for patients receiving magnesium, insulin, and pain management therapies
• Support hemorrhage management, including blood product administration and emergency response
• Deliver compassionate education and support to patients and families throughout the birth experience
• Document accurately in Epic and collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary care team
• Float between Labor & Delivery and High-Risk Perinatal areas as needed
