Job Details

• Position: ICU RN / Critical Care Registered Nurse
• Employment Type: Travel assignment
• Location: Des Moines, Iowa
• Start Date: 9/21/2026
• Duration: 26 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
• Schedule: 36 hours per week; every other weekend and every other holiday
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,040 - $2,150

Job Requirements

• Active RN license and eligibility to work in Iowa
• At least 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience required
• Strong critical care assessment, monitoring, and intervention skills
• Ability to work night shifts and maintain a reliable schedule
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced ICU or ICU flex-pool environment
• Ability to complete required onboarding, compliance, and competency documentation
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient advocacy skills

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality bedside care to critically ill patients in the ICU
• Monitor patient status, respond to changes promptly, and escalate concerns as needed
• Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to support patient outcomes
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient progress in the medical record
• Maintain a safe, organized, and professional critical care environment
• Adapt to unit needs while delivering compassionate, patient-centered care
