• Patient Population: Adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Facility Highlights: Support from respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, pharmacy, and unit secretarial staff

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience required
• Active WV or compact RN license required; pending license may be accepted for submission
• Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this assignment
• Strong clinical background in rapid assessment, triage, trauma management, and advanced life support
• Expertise in IV access, emergency interventions, and critical thinking in high-acuity settings
• Availability for weekend coverage and block scheduling preferred
• Ability to provide required documentation at time of submittal, including references and certifications

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care to patients across the lifespan
• Perform rapid assessments and prioritize care in a fast-paced ER setting
• Support triage, stabilization, and trauma response with confidence and accuracy
• Administer advanced life support interventions as needed
• Maintain strong IV access skills and respond effectively to changing patient conditions
• Collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure safe, timely treatment
• Document care accurately in Cerner and follow unit protocols
• Contribute to a patient-centered environment that supports quality outcomes and teamwork
