Experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse needed for a 13-week travel nursing contract in Harvey, IL, just south of Chicago. Join a Level I Trauma Emergency Department and bring your acute care, triage, and high-acuity ER nursing skills to a fast-paced clinical team.

• Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts per week; every other weekend required

Job Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license in hand
• Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Department nursing experience
• Prior experience in an urban Level I Trauma ED required
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications required
• TNCC and CPI strongly preferred
• Experience with Epic charting preferred
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume emergency care environment
• Must be flexible and comfortable working weekends and night shifts

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients
• Triage and prioritize patients presenting with urgent, emergent, and critical conditions
• Administer medications, establish IV access, and support emergency interventions
• Monitor patient status and respond quickly to changes in a high-acuity ER setting
• Assist with trauma, respiratory, cardiac, neurological, and behavioral health emergencies
• Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in Epic
• Promote safe, efficient, compassionate patient care in a busy emergency department
