We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for a Cardiac Stepdown travel nursing assignment in Lynchburg, Virginia. Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in Virginia or a compact license eligible upon start
• Minimum of 2 years of recent nursing experience required
• Prior travel nurse experience required
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required and current
• Experience with Cerner preferred
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Ability to explain any work history gaps over 90 days
• Submission of skills checklist and license verification required
• All requested time off must be included at time of submission

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care to intermediate care patients with cardiac, telemetry, neuro, and stroke-related needs
• Monitor patient status, assess changes, and respond appropriately to evolving clinical conditions
• Administer medications, complete nursing interventions, and document care accurately and timely
• Collaborate closely with the care team to support safe, efficient patient outcomes
• Take charge responsibilities when assigned and help guide unit flow as needed
• Support a positive, team-oriented environment and contribute to a culture of learning and excellence
• Deliver compassionate care across 12-hour night shifts while maintaining strong clinical judgment
