Job Requirements

• 1 year of recent nursing experience in the related specialty preferred
• Experience in a cardiac cath lab or similar acute-care/procedural setting preferred
• Current RN license in New Mexico or a compact state
• BLS certification required (AHA only)
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Ability to work independently while maintaining strong teamwork and communication

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care using the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
• Support patients through routine and complex cardiac care in the cath lab
• Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols
• Monitor patients for side effects and treatment effectiveness
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
• Assess patient and family education needs and provide clear, compassionate teaching
• Address the psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Collaborate with the healthcare team and make appropriate assignments or delegate as needed
