Travel Nursing Job Details

• Specialty: Med/Surg Tele / Telemetry Nursing
• Setting: Long-Term Acute Care Hospital (LTACH)
• Location: Columbia, SC 29220
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights
• Shifts Per Week: 3 or 4 shifts per week, depending on scheduling needs
• Weekly Hours: 36 or 48 hours available
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,660 - $1,750
• Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics
• Daily Census: Approximately 15 patients
• Orientation: Monday orientation with pre-assignment testing and modules required
• Additional Notes: Some weekend coverage may be required; floating may be expected based on census and unit needs

Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg Tele experience required; 2 years preferred for best fit
• Previous LTACH experience preferred
• Active Registered Nurse license in good standing
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Experience with EPIC EMR required
• Strong skills in dysrhythmia interpretation and telemetry monitoring
• Experience with complex wound care and tracheostomy care/management
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative healthcare team
• Willingness to complete pre-start compliance requirements and annual modules

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care for adult and geriatric patients in a Med/Surg Tele setting
• Monitor telemetry data and respond appropriately to cardiac rhythm changes
• Deliver skilled care for patients with complex wound, respiratory, and tracheostomy needs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members including therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and social services
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in EPIC
• Support safe patient outcomes through timely assessments, interventions, and communication
• Float to other qualified units or campuses as needed to support census and patient care needs
• Participate in orientation, required testing, and ongoing compliance activities
