- Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – Med/Surg Tele
- Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment
- Location: Columbia, South Carolina (29220 area), a welcoming capital-city setting with convenient access to dining, shopping, and outdoor recreation.
- Start Date: 9/21/2026
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour nights (19:00 - 07:30)
- Shifts Per Week: 4 shifts per week
- Hours Per Week: 36 hours, with 48-hour scheduling options available
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,680 - $1,770
- Setting: Long-term acute care (LTAC) med/surg telemetry
- Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics
- Weekend Coverage: Some weekend shifts required
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license
- Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Tele experience
- At least 1 year of recent EPIC EMR experience
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Neuro nursing experience strongly preferred
- LTAC experience preferred
- Strong clinical judgment and the ability to work independently on night shift
- Willingness to complete required pre-assignment testing and onboarding modules
- Ability to float to other qualified units or campuses as needed
- Flu vaccination required; COVID-19 vaccination not required
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric telemetry patients
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and recognize changes in patient condition promptly
- Interpret dysrhythmias and escalate concerns appropriately
- Deliver complex wound care and tracheostomy care and management
- Support safe, efficient care in a fast-paced telemetry and LTAC environment
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team to promote positive patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR
- Adapt to changing census needs while working within demonstrated competencies
