Job Details

• Position: Emergency Room Registered Nurse / Emergency Department RN
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment
• Location: Wilson, NC
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed hours
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Call: No call requirements
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,640 to $1,730
• Setting: Emergency Department
• Patient Population: All ages
• Charting System: Meditech experience preferred

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department or ER nursing experience
• ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Associate degree in Nursing required
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced acute care environment
• Experience with Meditech preferred
• Strong communication skills and a positive, engaged attitude

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, efficient, and compassionate nursing care in the Emergency Department
• Assess, monitor, and treat patients presenting with a wide range of acute conditions
• Respond to common ED diagnoses including respiratory distress, overdose, CHF, dialysis-related concerns, and hypertension
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow department protocols
• Adapt to varying patient acuity while supporting a patient ratio of approximately 1:4-5
• Float as needed within like assignments
• Contribute to a positive, supportive, and efficient unit culture
