Travel Labor & Delivery RN Job in Everett, WA 98201 | 13-Week Contract

Join a high-acuity Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse travel assignment in Everett, Washington, located in the scenic Pacific Northwest near Seattle. This L&D RN job is ideal for an experienced maternity nurse who excels in fast-paced women’s health, perinatal care, and high-risk obstetric settings.

This 13-week travel nursing contract offers 36 hours per week on 12-hour night shifts with weekends required. Work alongside a supportive interdisciplinary team in a well-resourced labor and delivery unit providing comprehensive care across labor, antepartum, postpartum, and triage.

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; compact license in hand at submission
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate or Relias Fetal Monitoring required
• AWHONN Advanced strongly valued for this travel nursing role
• Strong Epic charting experience required
• Must be comfortable with sterile vaginal exams (SVE) and high-risk perinatal care
• Experience in high-volume maternity or women’s health settings strongly preferred
• Ability to work weekends and float to postpartum as needed
• Experience with fetal monitoring and obstetric emergencies preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide expert nursing care to laboring, antepartum, postpartum, and triage patients
• Monitor fetal and maternal status, interpret fetal heart tracings, and respond to changes in condition
• Support vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, recoveries, and postpartum care
• Perform and assist with sterile vaginal exams, IV starts, labor support, and medication management
• Care for high-risk obstetric patients, including pre-eclampsia, hemorrhage, PROM, preterm labor, and multiple gestation
• Collaborate closely with providers, surgical techs, CNAs, and interdisciplinary support teams
• Educate and support patients and families throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and uphold safe, compassionate, patient-centered care
