ICU Registered Nurse (RN) - Travel Assignment in Aurora, Colorado

  • Unit Type: Mixed ICU with medical, surgical, cardiac, and neurosurgery patients
  • Patient Ratio: 2:1 and 1:1 depending on acuity
  • Unit Size: 38 beds

Job Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Minimum of 1 year of current ICU hospital experience
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH certification required
  • Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and a collaborative team mindset
  • Meditech experience preferred
  • CVICU or CTICU experience preferred, especially with post-operative open heart patients

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill medical, surgical, cardiac, and neurosurgical patients
  • Monitor and manage advanced critical care therapies, including ECMO, IABP, Impella, and CRRT
  • Perform and assist with bedside procedures such as bronchoscopy, GI scopes, chest tube insertions, and arterial/central line insertions
  • Manage airway care, ventilator-related support, and frequent drip titrations
  • Collaborate closely with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure safe, effective patient outcomes
  • Deliver compassionate, attentive care in a fast-paced ICU setting
