Travel Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) – Lubbock, TX 79410 | 13-Week Assignment

  • Assignment Length: 13 weeks
  • Start Date: October 5, 2026
  • Shift: Day shift, 12 hours (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)
  • Schedule: 3 x 12-hour shifts per week
  • Hours Per Week: 36
  • Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,050 - $2,160
  • Weekend Requirement: Yes, with 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule
  • Orientation: 24 hours
  • Charting: Epic preferred
  • Patient Ratio: 1:1

Job Requirements

  • At least 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience
  • Active Registered Nurse license; compact license must be in hand at submission
  • ACLS certification
  • AWHONN Intermediate certification
  • BLS certification
  • NRP certification
  • Experience with high-risk deliveries, fetal monitoring, vaginal deliveries, and C-sections
  • Strong skills in triage, postpartum hemorrhage management, and obstetric emergency response
  • Ability to work a flexible travel nurse schedule and meet weekend coverage requirements

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, compassionate care to laboring patients and newborns in a fast-paced Labor & Delivery environment
  • Monitor fetal and maternal status and recognize changes that require prompt intervention
  • Assist with vaginal deliveries, C-sections, high-risk antepartum care, and obstetric procedures
  • Support pain management, IV therapy, medication administration, and emergency obstetric protocols
  • Perform triage assessments and collaborate with the care team to prioritize patient needs
  • Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the charting system
  • Deliver patient-centered care while maintaining professionalism, communication, and teamwork
  • Adapt to unit needs while providing reliable, high-quality nursing support throughout the assignment
