- Position: Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN)
- Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment
- Location: Boston, MA 02118
- Start Date: 09/21/2026
- Duration: 16 weeks
- Shift Length: 12 hours
- Schedule: 36 hours per week with day/night rotation, every other weekend, and every other holiday
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,390 - $2,510
- Unit Setting: Labor & Delivery / Women’s Health Nursing
Job Requirements
- Current RN license
- Minimum 2 recent years of Labor & Delivery RN experience
- OR circulator experience required
- Ability to independently read and interpret telemetry strips
- Successful completion of a telemetry test on day 1 with an 85% passing score or higher
- Experience with high-risk obstetrics preferred
- EPIC experience required
- Previous travel nurse experience required
- Current BLS and NRP certifications with documentation provided
- Completion of NRP coursework that remains valid throughout the assignment
- Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring course completion preferred, ideally AWHONN
- Strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and excellent communication skills
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate, and high-quality nursing care to labor and delivery patients
- Support patients throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and triage
- Assist as an OR circulator when needed
- Interpret telemetry strips and respond appropriately to clinical changes
- Document accurately in EPIC and maintain clear communication with the interdisciplinary care team
- Care for patients in a high-volume unit with labor rooms, operating/recovery rooms, and triage areas
- Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and clinical staff to promote positive maternal and fetal outcomes
- Deliver patient-centered care while adapting to the needs of a busy obstetric environment
