Bring your maternal-newborn expertise to a high-acuity Mother/Baby and Postpartum travel nursing assignment in Seattle, Washington. Support families in a busy, high-volume unit while working with a collaborative obstetrics and postpartum care team in the heart of Seattle’s vibrant 98122 neighborhood.

- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,830 - $1,930
- Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
- Start Date: 10/05/2026
- End Date: 01/04/2027
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks with the option to extend to 26 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour night shifts
- Schedule Options: 3x12s or 4x12s, based on traveler preference
- Shifts per Week: 3 to 4
- Orientation: Provided prior to start
- Setting: High-volume postpartum / mother-baby unit
- Float Requirement: May float to nearby postpartum and labor & delivery areas as needed
- Location: Seattle, WA 98122
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Mother/Baby RN, postpartum nursing, or high-acuity post-partum experience
- Experience managing high-risk obstetric patients required
- Epic charting experience required
- Active Registered Nurse license required; compact RN license accepted if in hand at submission
- BLS and NRP certifications required
- Experience with magnesium sulfate therapy, Pitocin, Foley management, and postpartum hemorrhage care
- Ability to safely care for up to 4 couplets when census increases
- Substance withdrawal experience preferred
- JADA experience preferred
- Must be flexible with floating expectations and holiday coverage requirements
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive postpartum nursing care and mother-baby care for high-risk obstetric patients
- Monitor and support mothers and newborns following delivery in a busy, high-census maternal-newborn unit
- Assess fundus, lochia, perineum, and incision sites; manage routine postpartum recovery needs
- Administer and monitor medications and therapies including Pitocin and magnesium sulfate
- Recognize and respond quickly to postpartum hemorrhage and other maternal complications
- Support care for patients experiencing substance withdrawal when indicated
- Document accurately in Epic and communicate clearly with the interdisciplinary care team
- Adapt to fluctuating census and assist with float assignments when needed
- Deliver compassionate, family-centered patient care that promotes safe recovery and positive outcomes
