Job Requirements

• Active Colorado RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum of 2 years of inpatient Registered Nurse experience
• Emergency department, acute care, or critical access hospital experience preferred
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• TNCC certification required
• Experience with Cerner EMR preferred
• Ability to work rotating shifts and adapt to changing patient acuity

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in the emergency department
• Float to the medical-surgical unit as needed
• Care for patients across the lifespan, from birth through geriatrics
• Manage patients with COPD, diabetes, CHF, cardiac conditions, and trauma
• Administer and monitor cardiac and diabetic drips
• Work within a collaborative care model while maintaining safe patient ratios
• Prepare and mix medications as needed in a setting without an in-house pharmacy
• Use telemetry equipment and maintain accurate documentation in the EMR system
