Travel Med/Surg Tele RN Job in Plattsburgh, NY – Medical-Surgical Telemetry Night Shift

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,470-$2,600

Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent clinical nursing experience required
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience required
• Active New York RN license required at time of submission
• Current AHA BLS certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required prior to start
• Recent Epic experience within the past 2 years required
• CMSRN certification preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• Must have reliable transportation due to limited public transit access
• Comfort working in a float-pool environment and adapting to changing assignments

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality medical-surgical nursing care to adult telemetry patients
• Care for patients in med/surg oncology, ortho, urology, and ALC populations
• Support ED hold patients as needed within the Med/Surg Tele resource pool
• Perform IV therapy, bladder scans, blood draws from central lines, and glucose monitoring
• Monitor telemetry patients and respond appropriately to changes in condition
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support safe, efficient patient care
• Float between designated units as scheduled to meet patient care needs
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and follow unit-specific protocols
