• Position: Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN)
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment
• Location: Michigan City, Indiana (46360)
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: October 5, 2026
• Weekly Hours: 40
• Shift Duration: 10-hour day shifts
• Schedule: Tuesday through Friday, 10:00 AM to 8:30 PM
• On-Call: 4 days per month
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,120 - $2,230
• Work Setting: Operating room with 10 surgical rooms and 1:1 patient ratios
• EMR: EPIC
• Additional Perk: Scrubs provided
• Float Requirement: No floating required

Job Requirements

• Active RN license
• Minimum 2 years of operating room nursing experience required
• Experience with all OR specialties except open heart
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification required
• Strong teamwork, adaptability, and attention to detail in a surgical environment
• Prior perioperative nursing or surgical services experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate, and efficient care for surgical patients throughout the perioperative experience
• Support a variety of operating room cases while maintaining excellent clinical standards
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the perioperative care team
• Prepare the OR environment, monitor patient needs, and assist with procedures as assigned
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow unit protocols within EPIC
• Contribute to a positive, organized, and patient-centered surgical workflow
