Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse needed for a 13-week travel nursing assignment in Great Bend, KS. Join a supportive acute care team and provide high-quality bedside nursing, patient-centered care, and collaborative inpatient support on a busy Med/Surg unit.

• Schedule Notes: Weekend, holiday, and on-call participation required per unit needs

Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of hospital Med/Surg nursing experience required
• Current Kansas RN license or compact RN license
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Experience in acute care, inpatient nursing, or medical-surgical bedside care preferred
• Ability to care for a diverse adult patient population in a fast-paced hospital setting
• Experience with IV drips such as Heparin, Insulin, Amiodarone, and Cardizem preferred
• New graduates are not eligible for this travel RN role
• Ability to float within scope to the Emergency Department as needed

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate, and patient-centered nursing care on the Med/Surg unit
• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment
• Administer medications and coordinate individualized care plans with the interdisciplinary team
• Support patients recovering from a wide range of medical and surgical conditions
• Manage IV therapies and titratable medications when applicable
• Collaborate with physicians, fellow registered nurses, and support staff to promote quality outcomes
• Maintain strong communication, prioritization, and clinical judgment throughout each shift
