• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,160 - $2,270

• Setting: Short-term acute care hospital, Labor & Delivery unit
• Location: Portland, OR 97213
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts
• Schedule: 36 hours per week; typically 3 shifts per week
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: October 12, 2026
• Orientation: 36 hours
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend
• Floating: Required based on unit needs
• Patient Ratios: 1:1 to 1:3
• Charting System: Epic

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license; compact RN license must be in hand at submission
• At least 1 year of Labor & Delivery nursing experience required
• Experience with high-risk OB, obstetrics, and maternity care preferred
• Current BLS certification required
• AWHONN Intermediate required
• NRP required
• Epic charting experience required
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, team-oriented acute care environment
• Comfortable floating to Mother/Baby and High-Risk Antepartum as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate patient care for laboring patients, postpartum families, and newborns
• Monitor maternal and fetal status and respond appropriately to changes in condition
• Assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and recovery care in a Labor & Delivery setting
• Support high-risk antepartum and postpartum patients when floating to other women’s health units
• Administer medications, blood products, and therapies according to policy and patient needs
• Perform fetal monitoring, assess labor progression, and support delivery readiness
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to promote positive outcomes for mothers and babies
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in Epic
