Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,160 - $2,270
- Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
- Setting: Short-term acute care hospital, Labor & Delivery unit
- Location: Portland, OR 97213
- Shift: 12-hour night shifts
- Schedule: 36 hours per week; typically 3 shifts per week
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: October 12, 2026
- Orientation: 36 hours
- Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend
- Floating: Required based on unit needs
- Patient Ratios: 1:1 to 1:3
- Charting System: Epic
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license; compact RN license must be in hand at submission
- At least 1 year of Labor & Delivery nursing experience required
- Experience with high-risk OB, obstetrics, and maternity care preferred
- Current BLS certification required
- AWHONN Intermediate required
- NRP required
- Epic charting experience required
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, team-oriented acute care environment
- Comfortable floating to Mother/Baby and High-Risk Antepartum as needed
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate patient care for laboring patients, postpartum families, and newborns
- Monitor maternal and fetal status and respond appropriately to changes in condition
- Assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and recovery care in a Labor & Delivery setting
- Support high-risk antepartum and postpartum patients when floating to other women’s health units
- Administer medications, blood products, and therapies according to policy and patient needs
- Perform fetal monitoring, assess labor progression, and support delivery readiness
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to promote positive outcomes for mothers and babies
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in Epic
