Travel Med-Surg Registered Nurse (RN) – Springfield, Tennessee

Experienced Med/Surg RN needed for a 13-week travel nursing assignment in Springfield, TN, a welcoming community in the 37172 area with convenient access to the greater Nashville region. This role offers night shifts, strong team support, and post-op orthopedic experience preferred.

• Location: Springfield, Tennessee (37172) — a welcoming community with convenient access to the greater Nashville area
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: 09/14/2026
• Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
• Shift Duration: 12 hours
• Schedule: 3 days per week with every other weekend
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,640 - $1,730
• Setting: Medical-Surgical unit
• Documentation System: Meditech Expanse
• Unit Highlights: 27 beds per floor, 5:1 patient ratio, unit secretaries on days, and tech support on all shifts

Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of Med/Surg nursing experience required
• Experience with post-op patients, especially orthopedic cases, strongly preferred
• Active RN license required
• BLS required
• ACLS preferred but not required
• Ability to float between Med/Surg units as needed
• Comfortable working night shift and a rotating weekend schedule

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate, and patient-centered care to Med/Surg patients
• Monitor patient conditions and respond appropriately to changes in status
• Provide care for post-operative patients, including orthopedic recovery needs
• Administer treatments and manage blood transfusions in accordance with policy
• Maintain IV access and central line care
• Document accurately in the electronic health record
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing assistants, techs, and unit support staff to promote quality outcomes
• Float between assigned Medical-Surgical areas while maintaining excellent patient care standards
