Job Details
- Specialty: Emergency Room (ER) / Emergency Department (ED) Registered Nurse
- Location: Issaquah, WA 98029 — a welcoming Eastside community known for its scenic surroundings, outdoor recreation, and easy access to Seattle
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
- Schedule: 3 x 12-hour shifts per week
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,850-$1,950
- Start Date: 10/5/2026
- Healthcare Setting: Adult/Pediatric Emergency Department, ED Holding, Triage, and Urgent Care
- Patient Population: Adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
- Travel Requirement: Travel nursing experience required; may be asked to float to nearby sister facilities
Job Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department experience required
- Experience in a Level II Trauma Center required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Must have prior travel nurse experience; first-time travelers are not accepted
- Compact license must be in hand at submission, when applicable
- Strong clinical skills in triage, urgent/emergent care, and high-acuity nursing interventions
- Ability to provide 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of recent RN experience
- Comfortable working with both adult and pediatric emergency patients in a fast-paced ED environment
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care for emergent, urgent, and non-urgent patients
- Assess and manage common ED complaints such as chest pain, shortness of breath, weakness, injuries, and abdominal pain
- Support triage, ED holding, and urgent care workflows with efficiency and accuracy
- Provide care for pediatric patients, which make up approximately 20% of the unit volume
- Perform and assist with advanced ER procedures, including chest tube care, TPA, breathing treatments, trach care, RSI medication support, cardioversion/defibrillation, and rapid infuser use
- Obtain and interpret 12-lead EKGs, administer IV therapies, and assist with dysrhythmia management
- Care for patients requiring specialized support such as LVAD/Impella, cooling/warming blankets, and rapid response interventions
- Work collaboratively with the care team to maintain safe, effective, and compassionate patient care
