• Position: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)
• Employment Type: Travel Nurse Assignment
• Location: Charlottesville, Virginia
• Start Date: 9/28/2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights
• Shifts Per Week: 4
• Schedule: Night shift with weekends required; scheduling may vary based on staffing needs
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800 - $1,890
• Charting System: Epic
• Orientation: 24 hours
• Patient Population: Adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Setting: High-volume emergency department with Level I and Level II trauma exposure

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required; pending Virginia license accepted if in hand by the required start deadline
• Minimum of 2 years of emergency nursing experience required
• At least 1 year of Level I trauma experience or 2 years of Level II trauma experience required
• Some pediatric emergency experience required
• Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC required; TNCC may be pending at submission but must be completed before start
• Epic experience required
• Experience providing care in a fast-paced, trauma-informed emergency department
• BSN preferred

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care to patients with acute and critical conditions
• Perform rapid assessments, triage, and interventions in a busy ER environment
• Support care for trauma, stroke, chest pain, and other urgent/emergent presentations
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure safe, efficient patient care
• Provide compassionate nursing care to pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Epic
• Adapt to changing patient volumes and staffing needs while upholding exceptional clinical standards
• Float within scope of practice as needed
