Job Details

• Location: Meridian, Idaho
• Healthcare Setting: Acute care Medical/Surgical unit
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights
• Schedule: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, weekends as needed, first to float
• Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed hours
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910 to $2,010
• Charting System: EPIC
• Start Date: September 21, 2026

Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical nursing experience
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS certification required
• EKG certification required
• BSN preferred/required per assignment requirements
• EPIC experience required
• Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips
• Willingness to float to like units as needed
• Comfortable working with students and precepting new travelers when needed
• Professional, team-oriented approach with strong communication skills

Medical-Surgical RN Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate patient care in a fast-paced Med/Surg acute care setting
• Care for patients with orthopedic, urology, general surgery, gynecology, and medical overflow diagnoses
• Monitor and interpret telemetry as part of routine patient care
• Administer and monitor medications and therapies within RN scope of practice
• Support patients receiving common treatments such as CBI, heparin, PCA, and morphine drips as appropriate
• Collaborate with charge nurses, patient care techs, respiratory therapy, and the interdisciplinary care team
• Float between Med/Surg units and other like units when needed
• Participate in orientation, complete required modules, and work effectively in a dynamic healthcare environment
