Job Details

• Position: Travel Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)
• Location: Peoria, Illinois
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,130 - $2,250
• Start Date: 09/28/2026
• Duration: 26 weeks
• Shift Duration: 12-hour shifts
• Shift Time: 3P-3A
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Schedule: Every other weekend; holiday coverage as needed
• Charting System: EPIC
• Setting: Acute care Emergency Department

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois, or proof that the application process has been initiated
• At least 1 year of recent nursing experience required; 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC (or TNS)
• Strong ability to manage high-acuity patients and interpret cardiac rhythms
• Experience with IV drips and titration, including vasopressors and cardiac medications, preferred
• Comfort working in a busy teaching hospital or acute care environment preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to patients across the lifespan, from newborns to older adults
• Care for a broad range of emergency cases, including trauma, stroke, cardiac events, and critical illness
• Monitor, titrate, and manage IV drips according to patient needs and department protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, ED technicians, respiratory therapy, and the broader care team
• Respond quickly to changing patient conditions and prioritize care in a fast-paced Emergency Department
• Interpret telemetry rhythms and act promptly on life-threatening changes
• Assist with trauma and critical care situations as part of a coordinated ED team
• Support patient flow, including lab collection, stabilization, and coordination with ancillary services
