Travel Nursing Job Details

• Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
• Setting: Labor & Delivery / High-Risk OB
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Duration: 15 weeks
• Start Date: September 28, 2026
• Location: Peoria, Illinois
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,250 - $2,370
• Schedule Notes: Every 3rd weekend, every other holiday, and no call
• Charting System: Epic
• Orientation: Approximately 3 shifts

Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois or confirmation that the application process has been initiated
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience preferred
• Experience caring for high-risk obstetric and maternal health patients
• Advanced AWHONN Electronic Fetal Monitoring certification
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
• Ability to titrate Pitocin, Magnesium, and Insulin drips
• Ability to circulate cesarean sections and recover patients in PACU
• Experience with vaginal and cesarean deliveries, including newborn care
• Comfortable floating to postpartum and antepartum units as needed
• Strong assessment, communication, and teamwork skills

Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to laboring, postpartum, and antepartum patients
• Monitor fetal well-being and respond appropriately to changes in maternal or fetal status
• Support vaginal deliveries, cesarean deliveries, and related obstetric procedures
• Manage and titrate ordered medications and IV drips according to protocol
• Assist in circulating cesarean sections and recovering patients after surgery
• Deliver safe and attentive newborn care during both vaginal and cesarean births
• Collaborate with physicians, hospitalists, and support staff to ensure excellent patient outcomes
• Document care accurately in Epic and maintain high standards of clinical practice
• Float to postpartum and antepartum assignments when needed
