- Unit Setting: Level III NICU with advanced neonatal support equipment
- Scheduling Notes: Rotating weekends and holidays may be required
Job Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of Level III NICU nursing experience required
- RN required
- BLS and NRP required
- Experience caring for premature infants, including babies 28 weeks and above
- Strong background in central line management and respiratory support
- Experience with intubated patients preferred
- Ability to care for surgical and cardiac neonatal patients
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving, high-acuity neonatal intensive care environment
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, evidence-based care to critically ill newborns in the NICU
- Monitor, assess, and respond to changes in patient condition
- Manage central lines, respiratory support, and other advanced neonatal therapies
- Assist with procedures and specialized interventions as needed
- Support care for infants with surgical, cardiac, and complex neonatal needs
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to deliver safe, high-quality care
- Float as needed to related pediatric critical care areas for patients up to 2 years of age
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow unit guidelines and policies
