Travel Registered Nurse opportunity in Janesville, WI: join an adult Medical-Surgical team and deliver hands-on patient care in a dynamic inpatient setting with a limited number of pediatric beds. This Med/Surg RN travel contract is ideal for experienced nurses who enjoy teamwork, variety, and making a meaningful impact every shift in a welcoming southern Wisconsin community near Madison and Milwaukee.
Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020 - $2,130
- Employment Type: Travel RN Contract
- Specialty: Adult Medical-Surgical Nursing (Med/Surg)
- Setting: Adult Surgical / Medical-Surgical Unit with a few pediatric beds
- Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
- Schedule: Every other weekend and holiday required
- Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed hours

Job Requirements
- Active Wisconsin RN license
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Current NIHSS certification
- At least 1 year of recent Med/Surg or acute care nursing experience preferred
- Education verification required
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
- Willingness to float to other units as needed
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, high-quality nursing care to adult medical-surgical patients
- Perform patient assessments and collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards and hospital policy
- Document patient care thoroughly and accurately in the medical record
- Develop and execute individualized plans of care based on patient needs
- Educate patients and families throughout the care process
- Support unit quality initiatives and patient safety practices
- Use sound clinical judgment to escalate concerns appropriately
- Provide care in accordance with state practice guidelines and facility standards
