Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN) Travel Contract – Janesville, Wisconsin

Travel Registered Nurse opportunity in Janesville, WI: join an adult Medical-Surgical team and deliver hands-on patient care in a dynamic inpatient setting with a limited number of pediatric beds. Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020 - $2,130
• Employment Type: Travel RN Contract
• Specialty: Adult Medical-Surgical Nursing (Med/Surg)
• Setting: Adult Surgical / Medical-Surgical Unit with a few pediatric beds
• Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
• Schedule: Every other weekend and holiday required

Job Requirements

• Active Wisconsin RN license
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Current NIHSS certification
• At least 1 year of recent Med/Surg or acute care nursing experience preferred
• Education verification required
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
• Willingness to float to other units as needed
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality nursing care to adult medical-surgical patients
• Perform patient assessments and collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards and hospital policy
• Document patient care thoroughly and accurately in the medical record
• Develop and execute individualized plans of care based on patient needs
• Educate patients and families throughout the care process
• Support unit quality initiatives and patient safety practices
• Use sound clinical judgment to escalate concerns appropriately
• Provide care in accordance with state practice guidelines and facility standards
