Job Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania
  • Wound Ostomy and Continence Nursing board certification
  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
  • Minimum of 3 years of full-time professional nursing experience with medical-surgical patients
  • Completion of an accredited Registered Nurse degree program
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team
  • Professional, compassionate approach when working with patients, families, physicians, and coworkers

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a clinical consultant to staff and patients regarding skin prevention, wound care, ostomy care, and continence needs
  • Provide expert guidance to support best practices in wound and skin management
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to promote coordinated patient care
  • Educate and support staff on wound prevention strategies, treatment approaches, and patient care techniques
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation and communicate patient needs clearly
  • Demonstrate sound judgment, tact, and professionalism in all patient and team interactions
