Job Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
  • Minimum of 1 year of telemetry nursing experience
  • Cardiac stepdown, progressive care, or post-procedure cardiac care experience strongly preferred
  • Experience titrating IV medications, including cardiac drips, heparin, and insulin
  • Strong clinical assessment, communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-acuity telemetry unit

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, patient-centered care for telemetry and cardiac stepdown patients
  • Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
  • Care for patients recovering from cardiac procedures and interventions
  • Administer and titrate IV medications according to facility protocols
  • Collaborate with charge nurses, technicians, and unit secretaries to support quality patient care
  • Document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes accurately in the charting system
  • Support a positive care environment on a new cardiac progressive stepdown unit
