Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Minimum of 1 year of telemetry nursing experience
- Cardiac stepdown, progressive care, or post-procedure cardiac care experience strongly preferred
- Experience titrating IV medications, including cardiac drips, heparin, and insulin
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-acuity telemetry unit
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, patient-centered care for telemetry and cardiac stepdown patients
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Care for patients recovering from cardiac procedures and interventions
- Administer and titrate IV medications according to facility protocols
- Collaborate with charge nurses, technicians, and unit secretaries to support quality patient care
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes accurately in the charting system
- Support a positive care environment on a new cardiac progressive stepdown unit
