• Position: Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN)
• Employment Type: Travel Contract
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: 9/28/2026
• Schedule: Day shift, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
• Shift Duration: 8-hour days
• Workweek: Monday–Friday, 5x8 schedule
• Call Requirement: Required, including weekday and weekend rotation
• Hours: 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,370–$2,500
• Location: Carlsbad, NM 88220

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room nursing experience
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Active BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Experience caring for both adult and pediatric patients
• Strong background in general surgery, orthopedics, OBGYN, podiatry, plastics, endoscopy, and trauma
• DaVinci robotics experience required in this OR nursing role
• Excellent communication, organization, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a high-volume surgical services setting

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care as an OR circulator in accordance with hospital policies and surgical standards
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical technologists, and other perioperative team members
• Anticipate patient and surgeon needs to help ensure smooth, timely surgical cases
• Maintain communication with families and support a positive patient experience
• Ensure supplies are available and cases remain organized and on schedule
• Update physician preference cards and support efficient operating room operations
• Scrub and assist during surgical cases as needed
• Supervise and support personnel involved in delivering high-quality patient care
