Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• At least 1 year of recent Med/Surg or acute care nursing experience
• BLS certification from the AHA
• Experience with stroke patients preferred; NIHSS is a plus
• EPIC experience and prior travel nurse experience highly preferred
• Ability to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced inpatient setting
• Willingness to work nights and weekends as scheduled

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate nursing care to Med/Surg and stroke-focused patients
• Monitor patient status, assess changes, and communicate updates to the care team
• Administer medications and treatments according to established standards of care
• Support patients with a variety of conditions, including COPD, pneumonia, abdominal pain, and occasional surgical overflow
• Collaborate with nursing assistants and interdisciplinary team members to promote quality outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC and uphold unit workflow standards
• Respond effectively to changing patient needs in a busy acute care environment
