Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Med/Surg or Telemetry nursing experience
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Experience in a large teaching hospital or teaching facility required
• Current AHA BLS certification
• Current AHA ACLS certification
• Current NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification, required before start
• Epic EHR experience within the last 2 years required
• Ability to adapt quickly, remain flexible, and work effectively in a float pool environment
• Reliable transportation required

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled bedside nursing care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients across multiple units
• Float as needed within the central pool to support medicine, surgical, hematology/oncology, orthopedics, acute rehab, psychiatry, cardiothoracic, and cardiac units
• Monitor patient status, interpret telemetry data, and respond appropriately to changes in condition
• Administer medications, complete assessments, and coordinate care plans with the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Deliver safe, patient-centered care in a high-acuity, fast-paced clinical environment
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and communicate effectively with providers and nursing staff
• Support unit flow by adapting to changing assignments and patient needs
