Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Med/Surg or Telemetry nursing experience
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Experience in a large teaching hospital or teaching facility required
- Current AHA BLS certification
- Current AHA ACLS certification
- Current NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification, required before start
- Epic EHR experience within the last 2 years required
- Ability to adapt quickly, remain flexible, and work effectively in a float pool environment
- Reliable transportation required
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled bedside nursing care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients across multiple units
- Float as needed within the central pool to support medicine, surgical, hematology/oncology, orthopedics, acute rehab, psychiatry, cardiothoracic, and cardiac units
- Monitor patient status, interpret telemetry data, and respond appropriately to changes in condition
- Administer medications, complete assessments, and coordinate care plans with the interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Deliver safe, patient-centered care in a high-acuity, fast-paced clinical environment
- Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and communicate effectively with providers and nursing staff
- Support unit flow by adapting to changing assignments and patient needs
