ICU Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Contract in Galion, Ohio

Travel ICU RN opportunity in Galion, Ohio: provide critical care for adult and geriatric patients in a fast-paced acute care hospital while using strong cardiac, ventilator, and ICU nursing skills.

• Shift: 12-hour day shifts, 07:00 - 19:00
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,130 - $2,250
• Orientation: 24 hours
• Call Requirement: Yes; arrival required within 1 hour if called in
• Scheduling Notes: No blocked schedule; holiday time-off requests are very limited

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Active Ohio RN license or compact RN license required; pending licenses are not accepted
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Ability to float to all 3 campuses as needed
• Strong cardiac critical care experience, including post-cath interventions, balloon pump, and Impella support
• Experience caring for adult and geriatric patient populations

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality bedside care for ICU patients in a busy acute care environment
• Monitor and manage dysrhythmias, arterial lines, and central lines
• Titrate cardiac drips and vasoactive medications according to patient needs and protocol
• Care for ventilated patients and manage BiPAP and CPAP support
• Perform suctioning, isolation precautions, and infection control best practices
• Support cardiovascular intensive care needs, including CVP monitoring and advanced cardiac devices
• Assist with pre- and post-cardiac catheterization and cardiac intervention care
• Support sheath removal, IABP management, and Impella monitoring when indicated
• Collaborate with Rapid Response Teams and the interdisciplinary clinical team
• Maintain flexibility to float and respond to call expectations as needed
