• Assignment Length: 15 weeks
• Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
• Shifts per Week: 3
• Weekly Schedule: 36 hours per week following the first week of orientation
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910 - $2,010
• Unit Setting: Adult med-surg and cardiac stepdown care with occasional floating to related units
• Charting/Equipment: Meditech EMR, Pyxis, wound vacs, and chest tubes
• Travel Requirement: Must arrive the Thursday before the start date for a Friday employee health appointment

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent nursing experience in med-surg, stepdown, cardiac care, or a similar acute care setting
• Active Hawaii RN license required by the start of the assignment
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Preferred certifications: PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, and ENPC
• Ability to work night shifts and adapt to floating assignments as needed
• Strong clinical judgment, teamwork, and comfort caring for a varied adult patient population
• Professional nursing attire and clean scrubs required

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care for adult med-surg and cardiac stepdown patients
• Monitor patient status, assess changes, and respond appropriately to clinical needs in an acute care environment
• Manage common stepdown and med-surg equipment and interventions, including wound vacs and chest tubes
• Document care accurately in Meditech and follow unit protocols
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support safe patient outcomes
• Float between designated medical-surgical and cardiovascular units when needed
• Maintain a professional, patient-centered approach in a fast-paced hospital setting
