• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Hours: 36 hours per week after the first week of orientation
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910 - $2,010
• Work Setting: Acute care hospital stepdown environment
• EMR / Unit Tools: Meditech EMR, Pyxis, wound vacs, and chest tubes
• Floating: May float to medical, surgical, and cardiovascular units as needed
• Orientation: Unit-specific orientation provided

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of recent nursing experience in med-surg, cardiac stepdown, telemetry, or a similar acute care setting
• Active Hawaii RN license required by the start of the assignment
• Current BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required or strongly preferred based on unit needs
• Preferred certifications include PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, and ENPC
• Ability to work night shifts and adapt to a fast-paced, high-acuity hospital environment
• Strong teamwork, communication, critical thinking, and time-management skills
• Must be comfortable floating to related med-surg and cardiovascular units when needed

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing care to adult stepdown patients
• Monitor cardiac, telemetry, and medical-surgical patients with varying levels of acuity
• Administer medications, complete assessments, and document patient care accurately in the EMR
• Support patients requiring chest tube management, wound care, wound vacs, and other common stepdown interventions
• Collaborate closely with physicians, charge nurses, and the interdisciplinary care team to support positive patient outcomes
• Recognize changes in patient condition and escalate concerns appropriately
• Maintain professionalism while working across assigned units and adapting to changing patient needs
• Follow facility policies, infection prevention standards, and patient safety practices at all times
