Travel PCU Registered Nurse opportunity in Puyallup, Washington. - Position: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse
- Employment Type: Travel Nursing
- Setting: Acute care, progressive care, and float pool support
- Shift: 12-hour nights
- Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed hours per week
- Assignment Length: 16 weeks
- Start Date: October 5, 2026
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,130–$2,250

Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license
- At least 2 years of PCU experience preferred
- ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS required
- Telemetry competency required for progressive care nursing
- Experience with cardiac rhythm interpretation, chest tubes, lumbar drains, and tracheostomy care
- Comfort with IV medication titration, including common cardiac and critical care drips
- Strong communication, patient education, and teamwork skills
- Ability to adapt quickly in a flexible float environment
- Willingness to work nights, weekends as needed, and follow unit-based assignment procedures
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, high-quality care to progressive care patients with varying acuity levels
- Monitor telemetry and recognize changes in patient condition promptly
- Administer and titrate IV medications according to unit protocols and nursing scope
- Support patients with respiratory compromise, sepsis, renal failure, CHF, COPD, pneumonia, and other medical-surgical diagnoses
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to promote positive patient outcomes
- Float within scope to appropriate units as needed
- Transport patients throughout the hospital when assigned to ACLS transport support
- Maintain accurate documentation and uphold professional nursing standards
- Deliver compassionate education to patients and families
