- Position: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)
- Location: Puyallup, WA
- Setting: Level III Trauma Center Emergency Department
- Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: 10/05/2026
- Shift: 12-hour night shift
- Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,020-$2,130
- Orientation: Day 1 onboarding and EPIC training if needed, followed by a precepted shift
- Scheduling: Schedule provided in advance; weekends vary based on unit needs
- On-Call: None
- Holiday Expectations: 2 of 5 major holidays
- Work Environment: Team-oriented, fast paced, and supportive of travelers
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience
- Recent Epic experience required
- Active BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, and CPI/MOAB certifications required
- Strong cardiac rhythm interpretation skills
- Proficiency with IV starts, medication administration, and emergency drips
- Experience with procedural sedation and blood administration
- TNK administration experience preferred
- Ability to work effectively in a high-acuity, high-volume Emergency Department environment
- Travel nurse experience is welcome, including first-time travelers
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to patients ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics
- Care for a broad mix of emergency conditions, including trauma, stroke, STEMI, sepsis, respiratory issues, DKA, mental health, and geriatric emergencies
- Support rapid assessment, stabilization, and treatment of high-acuity patients in the ED
- Interpret cardiac rhythms and administer medications and drips safely and efficiently
- Assist with procedural sedation, blood administration, and emergent interventions as needed
- Collaborate closely with ED techs, charge nurses, resource staff, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, social work, and security
- Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and uphold strong communication throughout the shift
- Contribute to a positive, team-centered environment that supports excellent patient care
