• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Day shift, 10-hour shifts (11:30 AM - 10:00 PM)
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,990 - $2,090
• Patient Population: Adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Charting: Electronic health record (EHR) experience required

Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license with compact license in hand at submission
• Minimum of 2 years of PACU nursing, pre-op, or related acute care experience
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Experience with Phase I PACU, pre-operative, and post-operative recovery care
• Strong clinical skills in airway support, dysrhythmia recognition, pain management, and conscious sedation recovery
• Ability to float between Pre-Op and PACU areas as needed
• Comfort working with a broad surgical mix, including general surgery, vascular, plastics, ENT, gynecology, thoracic, ophthalmology, and more
• Flexible, collaborative, and ready to thrive in a busy procedural recovery environment

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate patient care in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit
• Monitor vital signs, pain levels, airway status, and post-operative recovery progression
• Support pre-operative preparation for inpatient and outpatient procedures
• Manage Phase II recovery and discharge readiness
• Assess and respond to changes in patient condition using strong clinical judgment
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the care team to ensure smooth patient flow
• Deliver high-quality nursing care across a wide variety of surgical cases and age groups
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold high standards of patient safety and quality care
