NICU Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Assignment in Issaquah, Washington

This 13-week assignment is ideal for an experienced Registered Nurse with Level II NICU experience who is passionate about providing specialized care to vulnerable newborns. Job Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of recent nursing experience required
  • Previous Level II NICU experience required
  • Active Registered Nurse license eligible for assignment in Washington state
  • BLS and NRP certifications required
  • Travel nursing experience preferred
  • Experience with charting systems required; any system experience accepted
  • Ability to work weekends as needed to support staffing needs
  • Must be comfortable floating to Postpartum and Labor & Delivery when needed
  • Strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, compassionate nursing care for unstable newborns and infants in a Level II NICU
  • Support infants born at 32 weeks and greater, including those requiring specialized monitoring and treatment
  • Attend deliveries and high-risk deliveries as part of the neonatal care team
  • Deliver care for respiratory support, including CPAP/BiPAP and breathing treatments
  • Assist with chest tube setup and care, feeding tubes, PICC/central line management, and syringe pumps
  • Support thermoregulation needs such as cooling and warming blankets
  • Administer and monitor care related to procedure sedation and rapid sequence intubation support
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to promote safe transitions and positive newborn outcomes
  • Provide additional support in related areas such as Postpartum and Labor & Delivery when required
