Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 2 years of bedside clinical nursing experience
• BLS certification required prior to first shift
• ACLS certification required prior to first shift
• Strong communication, organization, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced acute care environment
• Experience supporting medically complex or rehabilitation-focused patients preferred

Responsibilities

• Complete nursing assessments within the required time frame and develop individualized plans of care
• Collaborate with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to identify goals and teaching needs
• Provide timely, accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and patient responses
• Support the patient rehabilitation program and deliver direct care using the nursing process
• Initiate discharge planning and patient education early in the admission process
• Communicate changes in patient status to the appropriate care team members to promote continuity and patient safety
• Direct, train, and supervise ancillary nursing personnel as needed
• Maintain a safe, organized environment for patients, families, and team members
• Help create a positive, efficient unit culture through teamwork and professionalism
• Assist with supply monitoring, equipment needs, and ongoing professional development
• Assume charge responsibilities after orientation, as requested
